Rapadura, known as panela sugar is a non-refined sugar. Pure & nutritious juice is pressed from the sugar cane, then evaporated under low heat & ground to produce a grainy sugar. It is not cooked at high heats & the molasses is not separated from the sugar. It is the most naturally produced sugar for cooking & baking.
